Hidden on the sun-drenched slopes of Château-Thébaud, La Turmelière is an ancient estate that seems to rise naturally from the granite beneath it. Once a medieval bastion overlooking the winding Maine River, this domaine carries the quiet poetry of centuries: walls shaped by storms, wars and revolutions.
Today, the estate stands at the heart of the Cru Château-Thébaud, one of Muscadet’s most prized terroirs.
La Turmelière is a landscape of serenity — a meeting point between old stone, deep forests, and the sweeping views of the river valley. A place where heritage breathes through every path, every wall, and every bottle.

The estate has just undergone a thoughtful renovation, blending the charm of its centuries-old architecture with modern comfort. Set within expansive private grounds, it is surrounded by peaceful gardens, ancient woodlands, open pastures, vineyards, and orchards — offering a truly secluded countryside atmosphere just minutes from Clisson and the Nantes wine route.
Designed for gatherings, the manor comfortably hosts up to 14 guests across 6 bedrooms (four master suites and two additional bedrooms) with a total of 10 beds.
Guests enjoy 3 well-appointed bathrooms, a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a dedicated barbecue and outdoor dining area ideal for long, leisurely evenings.
For larger groups or special occasions, there is also the option to rent an adjoining game room extension featuring an additional master bedroom, providing even more space and flexibility.
